TGV Cinemas, Sunway Putra Mall

Sunway Putra Mall is strategically located in the central business district of Kuala Lumpur in one of the most vibrant hubs of the city. One of the main anchor tenants is TGV Cinemas.

TGV Cinemas appointed PLM to carry out project management, interior-fit-out and MEP works for a new six-screen cinema. Covering a total area of 107,000 square feet, the project comprised over 1,000 seats, a digital hall as well as a Beanieplex.

The project posed many challenges for PLM, including numerous design changes encountered during the construction phase, such as a change from normal seating to beanie seating in one cinema to acoustic issues in another cinema. Through efficient planning, effective communication and strong collaboration with trade contractors, the project was completed in a fast track 4 months, in time for the mall’s grand opening.
